Tip of the Day

Hits on the Toe

At impact, the clubface contacts the ball on the toe of the club, causing a definite loss of distance. The shot often pulls to the left of the target line. Common Causes: Standing too far from the ball, ball position too far forward, excessive hip spin on the downswing.

Check your set up. Don't reach for the ball. The arms should hang naturally from the body. At address, sole the club flat on the ground, centered behind the ball

Try moving the ball back an inch or two to correct the problem.

try to minimize hip 'turn' and increase lateral hip 'slide' along the target line.
